Dorsett Hotels and Resorts celebrate Deepavali with colourful and festive decorations at Dorsett Grand Subang and Dorsett Putrajaya, symbolising the time of the year to radiate positivity and signifies the victory of good over evil, light over darkness and knowledge over ignorance.
Dorsett Grand Subang greeted its hotel guests with a 25 square metres flower-inspired kolam, served as the centrepiece in the hotel. A lighting ceremony was held on 4 October 2017 by fellow management team and associates to kick-start the celebration of Hindu festival of lights.
On the other hand, a peacock-themed kolam was seen displayed at Dorsett Putrajaya on 5 October 2017 with the effort of fellow management and associates joining hands in creating the vibrant-coloured kolam.
“This year, kolam was created to draw in the Deepavali festive mood at both Dorsett Grand Subang and Dorsett Putrajaya. We want to ensure that our hotel guests enjoy the Deepavali mood, as it is one of the major celebrative festivals in Malaysia. I am impressed that most of our associates joined in the fun in creating the beautiful kolams – a great effort in showing strong team bonding among the staffs,” said Alfred Paulsen, General Manager of Dorsett Putrajaya.
Both the kolams will be on display till 18 October 2017 and hotel guests are welcomed to admire the uniqueness of kolam display during this colourful and sacred festival, in addition to preserve the traditional arts.
