At Elements restaurant, this April with a selection of delicious Hokkaido Taraba king crab dishes.
Native to the cold waters of the Sea of Japan, the North Atlantic and the Arctic Ocean, king crabs grow to an impressive size and are bursting with flavourful meat. This makes them a favourite of chefs around the world, including Executive Chef Antony Scholtmeyer at The Okura Prestige Bangkok who has created a series of dishes for Elements restaurant.
Available both à la carte and set menu throughout the month, the selection encompasses an intriguing Egg Tofu dish of Taraba crab, fresh herbs, and dashi jelly. Equally fascinating and bursting with flavour is a creamy Vichyssoise of smoked Taraba crab, ikura and oyster leaves, while a Gratin of Taraba crab, edamame, and soba is also sure to please. The savory delights continue with an Omelet of Taraba crab meat with white asparagus, chives, and champignons served with a piquant crustacean sauce that has been reduced to a mouthwatering consistency. Seafood aficionados will also appreciate Chef Antony’s steamed Taraba crab and thinly sliced sole paupiette with yuba, charred negi, sorrel, and yuzu.
